Yes, e30 M3 came stock with them. (certain e36 parts can be made to work, even some z3 parts can be used.)

A lot of money. (about 800 in parts alone, if you are lucky, thats not including labor)

Not really. Many swear it's necessary if you are going to push more than 350hp+ at your wheels. Other than that the only real benefit is it provides a broader rim selection.

And ALOT of guys who push around that hp remain with 4 lugs with no problems what-so-ever.

Just as a heads up.

I know, I had 4 lugs with my last turbo bmw and never had any problems either. Now, if I ever get another 750il motor (had to sell the last one I had, eating is a hard habit to break) for a motor swap for my current e30 , I will do a 5 lug conversion.

back when i use to work for a local tuner shop we had a CRX making about 730whp, on 4 lugs

one of the new kids cross threaded a stud and broke it off at the track during a wheel change, ran it in 3 lugs and it never had any problems, did 12 runs like that on wrinkle walls 3 lugs and 730whp hahaha

5 lugs are for squares
