I just changed the v belts on my '90 E30 325i. The belts I bought all have the ribs facing outward. The ones that were on the car had ribs that faced inward, except for the a/c belt. Part numbers match up. Why the discrepency, and, does it matter? My Bentley manual did not have a v belt diagram that I could find.
you should of bought original belts like the crp or the contitech, i take it you talking about the 10X 965, and the 10 X 825 and so on, contitech is the best way to go
Those belts are OEM belts, meaning original belts, and they don't ever give problems, and I will think the belts will pose a problem if they are faced the wrong way
Some belts have "ribs" on the outside, and then ridges on the inside.. I would tend to stay with the OEM stuff too, it's not that expensive, it's just a belt.
