hey guys, haven't posted here before, but owned a 323 for long enough. I want to get some wheels for it, but the selection's kind of limited. I was wondering if a 4 bolt to 5 conversion is possible, and if so, where do i go to get it? i have the original (grey market) Hartge wheels, but the time has come for another set. Any help would be appreciated. ghead
yes it is possible, and can cost a lot if you dont know what to look for, i havent done it, or know how to, so i wouldnt have the money issue to help you with.

It's a fairly simple process, at least based on my 5er it would be.
When you do this, you'll need to change out your spindles, hubs, and brakes.
If there is a 5 lug car that has the same spindles you'll have to do even less work.
The first step would be to cross reference your wheel bearings, and see if it comes back with a hit on a model that has 5 lug wheels. If it does, buy that cars parts from the bearings out and you're all set.
If there isn't one that easy, you're best of finding a conversion kit, or someone who's done it already.

thanks for the helpful advice, but here in the midwest, trying to find any e30, let alone an m3, is enough to drive a man to drink. I live in a little corner of nebraska, and as far as i can tell, i have the only e30 for about 100 miles. I'll try some yards around chicago, maybe they ship.
You can use e36 components.. although i think its harder to do... ive heard of alot of problems centering the wheel in the fender using e36 components.. who knows i dont own an E30 :P
e36...now that is a little easier to locate. thanks for the link, i'll check it out and see how they pulled it off. i think in the long run it will still drive me to drink, but thats the fun of it, right?
I was reading in like Euro tuner i think, and some guy had an E30 in which he took all /some of the suspension components to do a 4-5 conversion, it might have some info in there ill see if i can fing it....
