Did 4:10 gears ever come stock in the E30's if so how can you tell

They came stock on 325i's with automatic transmission with optional LSD. the 325iX had 4.10:1 LSDs with viscous coupling, the M42 318's had small case 4.10 diffs, and the M3 had a 4.10 LSD which would be a direct swap to a 325i/is.

which one of these would best suit my 86 325e 5 speed i don't know if i have it i do have the limited slip though

4.10:1 on a eta would be way to extreme. 1st gear would be practically useless. the most i would do is 3.73 off an iS, which still may be too short

I got some 17inch 225 45's on the back that will help lenthen the gear will it make that much of a difference

no probably not, also how did you fit those tires in the back? did you have to roll the fenders?

They bearly fit.. had to stiffen up the rear suspention a lot but looks mean. i'll get some pic up once it gets re painted in march.
