I just finished a 2 1/2 hour wax-job, started right up, drove about 400 yards down my street and the engine completely died out. The tranny is fine because i could hear it downshifting smoothly and it rolled fine to a nice stop It was almost as if I turned the key off. Tried to troubleshoot it on-the-spot but couldn't figure it out so I towed it back to my house. My dad pulled off a sparkplug wire and tried to start it and there was no spark. Can someone please try to help me out???
did you replace the fuel pump or you think it is the fuel pump well if you did replace it you wasted your time and money if it doesn't have spark in all cylinders its the cap or rotor if they are fine move on to the coil if it just one wire its the wires
me and my brother worked on it the other day and followed the fuel line all the way to the fuel pump. we tried starting the car and no fuel was coming out of the fuel pump at any spots in the line. before we did that we sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it started right up with no problems. so it must be the fuel pump right?
fuel pumps are tricky I would say go ahead and replace it by the sounds of it it is your fuel pump that or it may just be a clogged fueel filter if you do replace the pump do the filter also
