Has anyone ever swapped an ecu from and I to your e? and the maf would it swap over and would this make any differance in performance?

Are they both an M20B25? If so, the ecu is simple to swap. Its in the right side of the vehicle under neath the top cover in the glove box

no the E is a 2.7 was just curious since the I has more power if it would make any differance in the way it thinks its getting fuel/air etc...

I dunno, I know a 2.7 is bigger in some way mechanically. I think it has larger bores

The M20 2.7 'eta' was designed with increased displacement and lower revving, torque enhanced I6 to offer a higher fuel economy model at the expense of some performance.

that explains why it has a lower redline than my E30 with the 2.5 litre. That means, since it has more torque, it has not a bigger bore like I origionally thought, but a longer stroke. HA! NOW I know how to build a 2.9 litre stroker! YAY!

The e model has a rev limiter to protect the weaker e model valve train.
A good upgrade is to switch out the head from an i and start from there.
