325 Convertible water leaking - BMW Forum

I have a 89 325I convertible that is leaking. The water pools in front of the back seat in the floor board. I have replaced seals in the convertible storage area,the trunk are and the rear window seals but it still leaks.

I have no idea where it is coming from. HELP !

well i have a convertible as welll i had replace my top new cause it had holes it cost me about $800 and no leak at all. if u take some photos on where is leaking i may help

PS question does the water beads off?? or it absorve it . i think i miss spell that words llol

I did replace the top. It is like it is pooling under the carpet and then staying in the carpet pad until I squeeze it out. It does not appear tp be coming from anywhere in the front of the car or I would think the carpet would be wet somewhere else.

Maybe this is it...

Bad door seal, the rubber seal up against the window is chewed up? ... that takes in water, drips into the door / door leaks onto or into sill plate, sill plate leaks into the back of the car... Your top is not leaking, but you have to check the other door seals for wear and dryrot and such.
