I have a `85 323i with an automatic transmission. Suddenly after the car been parked for a week it only moves front if give him full gas. And even than slowly. It does not matter if I shift D, 3, 2 or 1. It is always the same except in R.
Do you have a clue of what it might be? Thanks

seems to me like it could be the spark plugs have gunked up... that would be my first thought at least.

Spark plugs won't affect how the trans works. Before you open up the trans looking for worn parts I'd check the level and conditon of the fluid. If it looks dirty change the filter and fluid and try to find a can of BG products ATC +, its their trans conditioner that works well.

The same thing happened to my neighbors M20 w/auto trans. We thought it was the tranny. It ended up being a very shot and clogged catylitic converter. Check it out! Good luck. Steve
