320i Cabrio

Got a 320i Cabrio, nice car, best driving I done in a long time. But there is a rather nasty problem with the door on the driver side.

The whole door panel seems to come loose, the window does not always lower a bit when you open the door (it needs that otherwise it gets stuck behind the roof) and the door seems to close ever more difficult.

The mechanic I discussed it with told me I had serious problems as it probably was the electronics in the door, but well , actually I believe it is just stuff that came loose. So I like to see for myself. But for all I tried, I can't get the door panel off (even if it is loose already). I do not see any screws.

Can anybody tell me how to get the door panel off, any other advise to give?

i think it is deffinately worth inspecting the door yourself to see if anything is obviously loose. to remove the door panel.. remove the armrest ( 2 screws under the horizontal piece and one screw under the power mirror blank), remove the small door handle piece (sliding it either right or left will pop it out), pop out all the clips along the right, left, and bottom sides along the border of the door panel, then lift the panel vertically until the top brackets(?) slide out.

Thanks, now I'll know what I will be wrecking this weekend! When I get stuck expect pictures of a guy with an ax over a cabrio. You see, I'm not really a petrol head.
