i'm going to sell my 325e because i want an e30 with a beefier engine. Of course, the only options are that of a later model 318is, 325is and the m3. I scratched out the m3 because the price of that is a little bit higher, which pushes it out of my budget. So in comparison, the pros and cons of 318is vs. the pros and cons of a 325is??? Correct me if i'm wrong, but the 318is = 4 cylinder, 325is= 6 cylinder?? That's all i know as of now. If you guys can, out of your own knowledge please enlighten me on these two beautiful cars.
the 318is isnt much faster than a 325e, if any at all, and it lacks alot of the eta's torque. the later 318i has about 138hp vs the eta's 121hp and the 325i's 168hp
LOL dude, just keep your car and switch out your entire head. Youll spend like $300 and be way faster than a 325. Especially with a gearing change. Faster than a e30 m3 easily.

no. A super eta is an 88 325es. Im talking about putting on the IS head and intake manifold. This will up the rev and head flow. Putting on a different differential will top it off and definatley make it faster than a m3. M3s arnt that fast in the first place. They do 0-60 in like 5.9 i think. Probly slower than that.

The head is pretty easy actually. Its 14 main bolts and various accesories. The super eta is ONLY the 88 325es.

hmm...yah you're right on that one....i was thinking more on the tangent of the short block about the pistons, how they are not exactly the same size as the i and iS. That's probably the only problem i'd have in the conversion.
