318i Radiator Problems

My bimmers been having radiator problems, and I dont know what to do.
MY fluid runs low after about 250-300 miles in the radiator thus making the car over heat. I have changed the cap, that did nothing. I also checked for leaking fluid, no luck. I have gotten 2 oil changes since I realized the problem, and no water in the oil.

Help me! I almost overheated the other day while caltrans was being slow....so I need some anwers cause its gonna fuck(sorry) something up on the car ghead
Ps..only happens if I am at a stand still, or idle.

when the car is running hot the coolant might evaporate and it might only leak from a hose when it heats up because the hose expands after u drive it for a while pop the hood and check for leaks before it cools down

Or your water pump could have gone tits up, causing the coolant to boil out.

well i just talked to my dad...he tells me it might be the thermostat for the water pump....Ill try that first cause its cheaper. So i guess if that goes out the pump wont kick in.
