200,000 Miles! - BMW Forum

WOOHOO! My car will hit 200,000 when I start my trip home from work today! Currently it sits at 199,968... I should arrive home with 200,015. She is starting to get "a little valvey" right now, so I think I will treat her to an adjustment in the near future, but otherwise, running strong!

This is the part where all of you congratulate me and give me and my car a virtual pat on the back (trunk?)!

I know there's a volvo group that distributes grille badges to commemorate such occasions.

It's just getting broken in

. Yours looks better than mine (my '87 325es is at 280,000 and still going).

Gotta change my tie rods though...

yea same here, try 250,000 miles wait try 150,000 miles, then your odometer takes a shit, you put a new one in, and it hits 100,000 while you are on your trip to AL.. Ha ha

I'm getting there ... 179k on the clock (m20 here as well).

Those engines are bulletproof.

I have seen those badges on some "Well Travelled" Volvo's! I wonder if any Bimmer Club does that?

I don't think anyone does at the moment, but maybe we should email BMWUSA about that ... Owners Circle should start doing something like that.

Nice job. I need to start driving my car more, or I'll never see 200K.
Or maybe I just need to get off my butt and go to Bimmerfest, for a quick 7K, then go to Missouri for a quick 2500... just drive all the time. Oh well, I like that mine is fairly low mileage.

I had 300,000 on my 87 240dl volvo, it was still running when I gave it away...
Found another 87 240 with only 80,000, so had to get it!
I had both the 200,000 and 300,000 badge on her! They required documentation !
