Hello! I've got a friend with what I think he told me is a 325is, but I'm not positive bout that model designation (may have said 325es, but I've never heard of an es). Anyways, it broke the timing belt, and he offered to sell it to me for $200-$300. But I've got a few questions first. Do these cars always bend valves when the timing belt goes? And how expensive are the valves, and head work, assuming I do all the labor myself, except any machining the heads may need? Easy to work on these motors? (Most of my experience is with my 300zx, VG30DE motor.) And based on what I've told you, would you buy the car were you in my shoes? He said it's in average condition inside and out, and everything still works. Thanks for any and all help.
