1990 325i Convertible

Hi all, I'm new here as you can probably tell, my first question is how do I find out what kind of engine I have in my 90 325I convertible, I have been reading different posts and I see a lot of code letters and numbers for engines and it's all blah blah to me.
Second question, what type of antifreeze should I be using in this vehicle.
I have owned this car for three years, and now it's mine thru a divorce settlement, but with the divorce I lost my tech.
BTW. I will have a lot more questions in the near future, and i'm looking foward to any help that I can get.

You have an E30, 2.5 liter inline six with 164HP. I would use 20W50 oil (synthetic or non) and a good, low silicate anti freeze (Auto Zone and Pep Boys both carry Zerex G-05, ths is used in Mercedes as well as ford and Chrysler proucts and I use it in my 1988 750il).

Thanks for the reply, yes 20W50 is what I have been using since I owned it , it does not use any oil, and I drive it hard most of the time
