I was driving along the other day and noticed on my dashboard that a warning light with an exclamation mark in a circle had come on. I have tried to find in the manual and online what it means to no avail. It stayed on for about a day an then turned off. Does anyone know what it means and what work needs to be done to prevent any damage or the light coming on again? Thanks.
My light just came on as well. Its been a while (14 months) since the brakes shop told me that the rear pads were about to go, I guess they must have been right after all.
The light was actually red. I managed to find it in my small service manual and it says that it is to do with the hydraulic brake fluid. I am guessing it is an electrical fault somewhere though because the fluid is full and I can't see any leaks anywhere. Do you guys think this might be what is wrong?
I completely flushed it about a year ago. I did a minor service on it today and cleaned the contacts on the level sensor and the plug in and out of the fluid chamber. So far the light has stayed off so I'm hoping it was just a faulty connection. Thanks for your help. Ill let you know if anything else happens.
