Hi all....My girlfriend managed to run the fuel dry in my beemer.
Usually when the drivers door is open you can normally here the fuel pump whiz as i call it from just under the rear of the caR.
since this has all happend i no longer hear this whine when the key is turned on.
I did place 5 gallons of fuel in the car.
Is there a reset that needs to be done...?Thanks for any info...

Does the car run? Or are you just saying you cant hear the fuel pump anymore?

Fuel pumps get their cooling from the fuel that passes through them, so if you no longer run gas though it while its running, you have good chance of burning up the motor. You might be in it for a new fuel pump...
