1986 325 e-30 start problems---HELP - BMW Forum

Need help!!! I have fuel pressure and the vehicle will start only with starting fluid. I don't hear any noise from the fuel injectors, and don't think there is electricity going to them. Anybody have any clues. Thanks

Check your speed and reference sensors (driver's side bell housing), check the #2 relay, and i've heard of no start issues being caused by the fusable link in the trunk that runs off the battery.

Thanks for the help. My repair manual does not show any of the relay locations, is that relay one of the three on the drivers's side wheel well? If so, which one. Thanks again.

Yeah, it's right next the strut tower. There should be 2 and the same height and one that's a little lower, the front one I believe, thats it. I posted on another thread here the other day explaining how to setup some jumper wires to check it. I think it's called "86 325es won't start" it should be on the first page, just a little below your post, let me know if you can't find it, or if you have any other questions.
