1983 320i Electrical Trouble. No Turn Signals. Where to start?

My 1983 320i has some elctrical problems. All the fuses are good. Foremost I have no turn signals. No hazard lights. No backup lights and the electronic mirrors don't work. Where do I start? It is rumored that the emergency flashers and the the turn signals work together. Is that so? I am most concerned about the turn signals. I have been unable to find the turn signal flasher to replace. And the ones I have found online are 2 and three prong. The only one that looks like it is for my flashers is a four prong under my dash on the driver's side. My manual has been of no use.

I could use some help.
