Need help with starting issue. It takes several attempts to start after the car has been sitting for a while. Its almost as if there isn't fuel being delivered. Once the car actually begins to start, it sputters until I get the RPMs up. Where should I start looking?

Fuel pump or fuel line...
Try putting a simple non-return or one-way valve in the fuel line...
Just could be air lock in the pipe !

Thanks Daz, but being a novice mechanic, where in the fuel line would you suggest the valve be put?

Also, I can't seem to find the newbie section... can you put a link here?

Cut the pipe BEFORE the fuel filter...

Thanks. if it were simply airlock in the line though... should I try bleeding the line first? Whats the best way to that if so.. Thanks again

Yeah, raise the front of the car before you bleed it and maybe throw some injector cleaner in your tank too !

I am on my second tank of fuel since purchase, and I put fuel system cleaner in both tanks. Thanks for your input on this...

another silly question, where is the best spot from which to bleed the lines? Is there a valve or a fuel rail in the motor compartment or should it be done from back near the fuel pump?

Highest point, hence why the front should be raised !!!
From the fuel filter and before the injectors...
The injectors will only "Open" at the right pressure anyway lol

Just to add, open the valve at the end of the fuel rail to purge any air !
