1000+ whp....how possible is it?

kinda of a random question, I know.

but I've recently became good friends with a dude who has spent probably $60-70,000 to get 965 hp from his F250......and I really think that if I work it, I can drop the line "so I bet for less money then you spent on your truck, I can make my Bimmer faster then your truck."

I really think he would spring for paying for all of it...he's got loads of money to spare....

but before I get in over my head I want to make sure it's possible....


I would probably buy a different e30 or e36...which one would be better?

any and all idea are welcome....

(i'm talking 12 cylinder, twin turbo, nos...the works...)

M5 motor e30 with a turbo thats what a guy in sweden is running. I dont know why your friend spent that much money, he could have got a banks setup for less and he would have more than 1000 ft/lbs of torque for sure. If it is a turbo diesel.

he swapped a dodge diesel engine in there.....I think it had around 300hp stock....


what's funny is, the only reason he made his truck so fast is 'cause he hates all the rice rockets where he's from.......so he always leaves them in a cloud of black smoke.

he also put thousands of dollars of spot lights on the front bacause he hates the ricers with all the fogs lights and what not up front so when he see's a car like that he turns on all his lights and blinds them....

it would be a piece of cake, swap in an S52 and to the full 1000hp build on it that that one turkish company does to the S52...its a full kit...

You can get 996rwhp from a 2.8 so i would guess the S52 would get the power your looking for easily

why does that matter? if you are swapping motors anyway just swap a damn Euro S50B32 in....

i cant possible see why it would have to be euro only, the main difference is the euro has ITBs as far as the kit is concerned but it looks like it comes with an intake plenum anyway...not that much more work to swap to ITBs, just buy em, slap them in during install

pretty slow? are you kidding me? did you see once the turbo spooled and he left like 1/8 mile between them in under 4 seconds while the E46 M3 was flat out??

i think the euro engine is an iron block... u.s. is alloy? maybe???

You dont need 1000hp to outrun a 1000hp truck.

500whp e30's should readily outpace a 1000hp truck. Ive seen 3XX whp m20 powered e30s run high 11's.

Widebody kit, 11" rear wheels, racing slicks, and a TCD stage 2 turbo kit with more boost with alcohol injection and he should have some decent competition if you build up your motor to handle increased boost.

Get a IE 3.0L stroker kit w/ 7.5 c/r, a nice garrett gt35r added onto the TCD kit, and you'd rock and roll.
