tempermental325e is an unknown quantity at this point
I am a fellow bmw enthusiast as I'm pretty sure we all are. I recently purchased a 1987 325e 5spd coupe. I really like it allot and it is in overall really good shape. After having it for about a month, my girlfriend backed it over a curb and did a substantial amount of damage to the fuel system. The car wouldn't start and we had to tow it to my mechanics shop. Here's what we replaced:

Gas Tank
Internal Fuel Pump
External Fuel Pump
Throttle cable

I waited a month for my mechanic to actually fix the car, and I paid close to $800 for all of the work, and I just got it back yesterday, and It runs like shit!! (exuse my language) here are the problems i've noticed since I've gotten it back.

It spits and sputters really badly, and shuts of if it sits at idle.
It has an extremely rough Idle.
It blows out allot of black smoke.
It guzzles gas like its gatorade. (I went through a tank in about an hours worth of driving)
and when it's cold, It won't start

It never did any of this before the incident. and my mechanic is not too familiar with bmw's (I know this was a mistake) but I know that the motor and trans is good. I just think its getting too much gas.

If anyone can help me out please email me at karpich_k@hotmail.com
or call me at (404)409-4217

I would appreciate any help anyone can give me as I need to get this car back on the road since it is my only form of transportation.
