Well it has been 1000 or so miles since the tires went on my 2002 325i.......
The original Continentals=

terrible...replaced at 28k and they were toast.
The replacement Yoko's I was talked into by Discount tire=

worse, gave them back.
The Michelin HGT-x4's=

better than both the above but perfomance went away after 35k even though there appeared to be ample tred left. This caused a terrible tramling problem.
The BFGoodrich Traction T/A's=

So far so great! Tramling GONE! These tires seem to out handle the other three by a fairly wide margin. I have had the opportunity to drive them in a wide variety of weather already (Michigan-yuk). They have been the best in weather as well. Quiet. Gas milage seems to be about 35 miles per tank better.
I drive quite a bit of highway as my commute. I drive somewhat aggressvive, but not real aggressive. You might think I was in a little bit of a hurry but I don't drive aggressive enough to annoy people.
Price? I paid $318.00/installed and out the door (tax included) for all four with the lifetime rotate rebalance at Discount tire. This included me giving back the Michelins. They appeared to believe they would get some warrenty re-imburssment from Michelin.
I will report back if my oppinion of these changes.......
