the rear bearings truly are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!! its always better to do both....no they dont have to make the screaching noise, and i have no clue about the tool rental, but u will need a 32mm 12 point socket, an air wrench, and a little more than a clue when it comes to wrenching.

for most, i'd recommend a good shop, unnless u can handle a headache.
