Well, I hate to dissapoint you 330ci owners, yes your cars are gorgeous, but when you get down to it, BMW is letting the slack out on their 3 series cars. The e46's are plan and simple nowhere near the e36's in terms of power-weight ratio. Given same skill drivers, an e36 m3 would paste a 330ci with ease.

I own a 1996 328is with intake, chip (OBDII), and exhaust. My HP and torque stock are 190/212. With my mods, I am probably making 200hp/220ftlbtq to the fly at most. I raced a 330ci (manual), both cars had passengers, good driver ( I know him ) from a ROLL. Took him by between a length and 2 lengths most of the race. And yes he shot ahead at the end because I was slowing for the turn.
