pabloshep is an unknown quantity at this point
OK, I'm new here. I drove a volvo for ten years and then about 8 months ago I downgraded (just kidding!) to a nice 5 speed black on black 1995 525 (with only 79K!). Much to my
surprise......i havent had a single thing go wrong with it. Runs great, nice solid car, I
love the 5 speed. But today when I went out to drive, I found it dead. I soon found out
how I drained the battery......I left the trunk unlatched, and the light must have drained
the battery over 2 days.
My problem is, first, I can not find my owners manual. Second......I can't even find the
battery! I seem to recall that it is under a passenger seat (why it would be there I can
only imagine).
Since the car is a 5 speed, I thought maybe (like normal cars!) I could push start it. Wrong. Maybe there is some anti theft override(?). I've read that I should avoid jump
starting it. Since the battery is probably pretty old anyway, seems the easiest way to
avoid tows and hassles is to just buy a new battery. But where is it and how do I get to
it? (I don't see an easy way to get under the passenger seats if that is where it is). Sorry
about the dumb question, (too dumb to even make the FAQs!) but I am stumped. Thanks
for the help.
