i've never really thought of getting a sound system but my friend makes custom stereo boxes and i've been thinking, what would be the best sub/amp combo for an e30. i would like to get 2 subs and an amp but i don't know how many watts i would need to get a good sound out of 2 10" subs...could someone give me their opinion of a good setup(brand, size of subs, and size of amp)

It really depends on the sort of bass sound you want : either deep with infra sound or just "dry" bass sound with hardly any infra. Then it alos depends on the sort of music you hear.
Brands for sub are all good (do you realluy need quality ?) but I would suggest Rockford or Focal which I know and which I was satisfied with. But you have so many brands...
