It's gonna be hard to find one that has the same power to keep up in terms of speed and acceleration... so a e28 535 would be as close as you can get to a e39 528.. I think they are only 4 or so hp off.
Having driven the e28 multiple times and owning the e34 and e39, I think the e39
feels like it doesn't handle as good as the other two. Of course, thats not the case, but it feels like the e34 and e28 are a bit crisper.
BeelZ, by surprise I hope you understand I didn't mean that it would come up and beat you, I was just saying that for an old car it would do pretty damn well.
