First of all hello to all the members of this board!
Now i'm not one that actually use's car forum's all that often, So bare with me. My name Scott and i'm 19 from Birmingham, UK.
I own a BMW 5 Series 520i from 1990, excuse the exact model i have no idea. An i'll go into that a bit more.
Basically i'm not really into cars all that much however due to the recent conditions i've wrote of my pride and Joy Motorbike. Suzuki Goose.
Any way that now looks like...
Ok Ok, very nice. In anycase a friend of mine who also motorbikes wanted the bike i inadvetidly smashed up well. (Hit a car head on at roughly an impact of 70mph).
Basically he didn't want to pay for it. But he did have a car he jokingly said i could have in exchange for the bike. :idea2 Turned round i had the car a few days after.
Anyway the car had stood for just under a year  , Fired up first time and basically although very dirty and had plants growing on it and its own unique pant life around it started up and the automatic choke come on.
i decided to drive it down the motorway and home. Roughly 50 miles away. Now bare in mind this car was not used for just under a year.
A gamble i thought but what the hell. Being cococuned in a shell seemed like a sofa compared to the bike. :driving
Great thing is about the car is that the engine gave up at 250'000 miles due to bmw not attaching the coolant pipes correctly and it destroyed itself pulling a caravan up a steep hil. This was BMW's faul and they had a new engine put into it. £5000 roughly from BMW. :goodness:
All reciepts to proof.
Its had one own, full service history. Great stuff!
Anyway enough back ground lets move onto the problem. Although it needs a frigging good clean, And new front brake pads! (Anywhere online i can order them would be greatly apprciated) I feel my friend said the suspension bushings might need doing. (Which shouldn't be a problem as the old man works in a college where they do mechanics and can basically tinker with your car for practice for about £12 an hour!... although you might get a few scallys looknig through your car...)
The front wheel every now and then feels like its wobbling, sometimes quite violently and then you either have to stop or speed up to stop it. Thinking of it this morning it done it on the way to work but stopped quite quickly running along at the same speed. issed2
It seems to stop if you touch the brakes also. So the vibration in the wheels i have no idea, maybe its just a crap wheel, the wheels nots, but could it also be something like alighment of steering, the tracking?
I'm pretty new to car mechanics, so you'll have to bare with me. Motorbikes seems alot easier to play with. :screwy
Any help much appciated!
Thanks All
Scotty
