This coupe looks horrible. Jesus Christ, the Z4 was kind of growing on me a little. It doesn't compare to the M Roadsters/Coupes, though. What is going on with the new designs? It is like some kid is designing these cars or something.

But did you read the article? v8 w/~450hp in a z4? Sign me up!

i agree... its a natural progression for the car really.
I think it actually looks pretty good. I LOVE the roadster. The drive, the sound is amazing. There is only one thing I hate about the z4, it's the top up headroom, or lack-there-of. Other than that it looks beautiful on large factory wheels.

Who let the Jag design team into the BMW studio? That car looks like a cat. And a none too attractive one.

And why did they screw with the lines on the orginal Z3 in the first place? Gorgeous car. Should have just updated suspension and valvetrain components. You're right. It does look like some kid's odd drawings. I personally think all the new models are a disgrace to what was becoming a gorgeous history of vehicles. The 7, 5, and 3... all the preceding models look better than the current ones. I liked the E30 and E46, but not the E36 so much. The last couple of 5 and 7 series models were beautiful (the 1997-2001 750iL being the most beautiful, IMHO)... but dear god, what have they done to the new ones?
I'll be dead before I drive a vehicle with everything controlled by a central computer. iDrive this. And no, I'm not sixty. I'm nineteen.

Changed the car's name, now it's - Roxanne -1985 325e
I am with you on the new designs. I am not a fan of the e36, but love the e30's and e46 (own a 2002). I am debating on selling my 325i and getting an M Roadster, but a part of me is telling me to wait until winter is over since I don't have a garage and don't want the Roadster to drive around in the snow.
The lines in the Z4, in my opinion, are ugly. I drove one and it was fun to drive, but I never liked the looks at all. There can be 800 bhp in the Z4 and I will still prefer the M Roadster. The rear end of an Estoril Blue M Roadster is sexy as hell.
I am kind of sad to see the new 3 series. I saw one the other day in person and it still didn't look good to me. I was excited about it, you know, the NEW 3 Series! But, oh well, what a let down. I hope BMW goes back to styling cars that will stand the test of time, not fit in the crowd of making odd, futuristic looking cars. The new BMWs are very ahead of their time. Maybe it is me that isn't ready for them, oh well.
