Inspired by a recient viewing of "Golden Eye" Im thinking of trading in my '98 328i
for a 2.8 litre Z3. any owner reviews?

I've driven a few M coupes... very very good car.. its like my current car.. but lighter.. and a little more agressive feeling.. as for the Z3... its a very potent car... good engine power in all models... manual is a dream.. and is just a plain fun car to drive... its like driving a miata.. on steriods.. due to power and suspension...

Little space, and the rear suspension isn't adustable........it'll eat rear tires.

Dude, I so own that car. 2.8, Atlanta Blue, Tan top, I mean it is the Bond car. It is my dream car.

He's right though, little space, but still quite comfortable, if I wanted a minivan or an SUV, I'd a bought one. I haven't had any problems with the suspension though. And I just replaced my back tires for the first time. It's an eye catcher and always attracts the attention of the driver in the other lanes. I love to watch the little kids go nutz when they walk by it when its parked or I'm at work.

Still though, its a BMW, its expensive to fix. Get used to the phrase 3 to 5 days, its night like parts can be overnighted. And these cars aren't new anymore, so its not like you can go out and buy a 2005. I've got a 98 and I'm happy. But I don't the roll hoops were were integrated untill what, the 97.

With my traction control I don't eat up the tires. Unless you are saying < 25,000 miles is eating.
