I have the 3.0 X5, and I love it, I was going to get the 4.4, but i thought, do i really need to spend that much money for the bigger engine and some different rims. I decided no. As I said the 3.0 drives great, and I have no compaints, except for the fact that I just read about a possible recall for the 2002's. As far as the mercedes goes, my unlcle had the Ml 430, and I liked it, but it doesn't drive anything like the bimmer. My uncle eventually got rid of it, because he had it in the shop a couple of times, and noticed that they were putting chrysler parts on his truck. Why pay Mercedes price for Chrysler parts. Needless to say that is why he got rid of it.
of course the 4.4! if you could, get the 4.6 hehe. Even though x5s have the most recalls for SUVs, I would still get the X5 4.4 (or 4.6) over all of them
no bmw has a V6 but if ur lookin for a decent used suv then the 4.4i and the 3.0i will never be the same price. bmw has merc beat on every angle when it comes to SUV/SAV's. the 3.0 should have decent power, so that is what i think u should go with B)
