Windows auto express

I just bought a 2000 m roadster . The drivers side window is auto express up and down,the passenger window isnt. Is this the default or are they both supposed to be auto like the drivers side? The manual doesnt say theres any difference. I want to get it fixed if its not working correctly and I only have 2 months left on the 4/48 warranty. thanks

I've got a 2003 Z4 and when I took it into the shop recently for other minor repairs I asked the same question. Apparently the passenger side window is not supposed to have the same type of auto up system (though it does auto down) as the driver's side. This is supposed to prevent people from getting caught in the window if the driver puts it up without paying attention to what's going on.
