oted is on a distinguished road
water pump

740il i have put the new water pump back on with the new gasket that has that rubber seal built into it. put all the bolts on started it up and the bottom bolt leaks ,tightened it still leaks, should i take it all apart and put permatex this time

Yes.....use just enough to hold the gasket in place & make sure both surfaces are clean, & be sure it does not shift out of position.

my 2 cents worth:

check and see that the new waterpump mating surface isnt warped. I have seen some new waterpumps that were defective out of the box. If it is good, then yes, permatex will help.
