Vibrating steering wheel

Hi Guys, having a problem with my front wheels vibrating around 40mph, should be just to re-balance the front wheels, right? Problem is that its not every time i drive the car it appears. So, could it just be the bushing..? Solution anyone..?

Lightbulb

have the tires dynamically balanced first.

If the vibration doesn't go away; next place to look is tie rod ends, and then alignment... in that order.

She Vibrates

These cars are known to have upper control arm (thrust) bushing issues and the symptom is vibration at low speed. In my case I bought some control arms with new ball joints and urethane bushings already installed (BavAuto) and that solved my problem ('88 750il).
