Vibrating steering wheel

Hi Guy´s, having a problem with my front wheels vibrating around 40mph, should be just to re-balance the front wheels, right? Problem is that it´s not every time i drive the car it appears. So, could it just be the bushing..? Solution anyone..?

have the tires dynamically balanced first.

If the vibration doesn't go away; next place to look is tie rod ends, and then alignment... in that order.

Ok, sounds right. Not cheap busings in the front thow, however i´ts a cool car so what the hell..

These cars are known to have upper control arm (thrust) bushing issues and the symptom is vibration at low speed. In my case I bought some control arms with new ball joints and urethane bushings already installed (BavAuto) and that solved my problem ('88 750il).

I think youre right. Found out that the left shock is leaking too, and the bushing to the suspention strut is a gonner. So, i know what i´m doing on my holiday..
