The SUPID FING car I got the bumper back on and whent to start the car after all this crazyness with the suspension And start it put it into revers to back outta the driveway and i forgot to move the trashcan outta the way so i put it back in park and BOOM Trans Fail Safe Program comes on........ wtf??? how do I reset it? i need the car monday to get to school...... anyone please help me......

... Nevermind... It when away and then came back about 4 times then is gone.... I think the fluid is low........

New battery, Found it only happens on an incline.... Low fluid?

only on an incline, yeah Id def be checkin fluid level. U gotta check that level with trans at a certain temp tho.. IIRC like 30-55 degsC
Also it takes the expensive lifetime fluid.

yeah...... I'm gonna check it tomorrow... i have to drive it around to warm it up first.... stupid Bmw...

I would let it idle on jackstands... let it get just hot enuff to where when u touch the pan it starts to feel warm, then check it... any more would be too hot
oh ok ... putting it on jackstands caused this issue....

You can drive the car in trans failsafe mode, be fine and not damage anything. It will be sluggish though, thats just ebcause the transmission is operating as not to damage anything, somelike like acomputer in safe mode,
to reset it either buy a little obd rest computer, take it to autozone who will do it for free or take it to your mechanic who will reset it for ya

^ it went away .... and hasnt come back... unless on a steep incline now... i'm gonna check fluid level after class..... That is after it cools down to the proper temp.... He's at the alignment shop right now should be done by noon....
