Tranny issue with a 92 735

Hi guys I'm new here and new to BMW's I just bought this 92 735 and it had a bad shutter so I thought it was the carrier Bearing on the drive shaft, so Tore in to it come to find out it is the rear of the Tranny where the drive shaft connects to. The rear housing of the Tranny is shot. I have it tore down to that part I just cannot remove that rear tail housing. whats the trick? any good transmission guys on here? As of now it seems I will have to drop the tranny and have that rear bearing pressed out.. I'm really surprised I was able to drive this car home. The car is well worth throwing some money into it only has 115k miles on it. and I stole it for $500.00 I just could use some help with the trans problem now. or should I just replace the trans? this one the fluid in it was really black and burnt.. thanks for the help in advance

Bear is an unknown quantity at this point
Shudder

On my '88 750 I had to replace the drive-shaft as "U" joints were not replaceable. She would shudder accelerating from rest and smooth out at cruise.
There are suppliers that sell shafts with zerk fittings on the joints, but on the 750 you have to drop the exhaust system to even access the fittings so I bought a rebuilt shaft from THRASH (hey at 150,000 miles I guess I can afford to buy a new shaft every 100,000 miles).
