When I start my car the tach goes directly to 2K and stays there no matter what. When I shut off the engine it goes down to zero. What's the problem here?

Does it stay there after the car warms up? When you rev up your car does it go up but back down to only 2K?

since the guages are controlled electronically, its the guage cluster

I would reccomend, if under warranty, taking it to the stealership, and having the guages... otherwise, you prob. need a new guage cluster
