Suspension Bleed

hi guys.
i have just replaced the high pressure level hose on the suspension on my 1990 750il.
the self levelling suspension was working fine until pipe burst.
i lost most of the fluid while changing hose and have refilled with 7.1.
jacked rear of car up and started and lowered it down slowly to bleed as in the bentley way.
it took just under two cans of fluid.
but now the suspension switch light doesnt come on and the suspension doesnt some to change.
is there maybe still air in the system causing problems or could there be another way of bleeding.
or is it maybe more problems.

When you say you bled the system via Bentley by raising and lowering, did you also take the lid off of the PS Reservoir, fire the engine, and turn the steering wheel lock to lock two or three times?
