Has anyone heard when the "Sirrus radio" will be available for the new 2004 BMW's?
I purchased the prep package for it when I bought my car, but as of late, the dealer told me they were still trying to get it to work with the car's I-drive technology. The 2004 745 Li has the really complicated I-Drive system and I am hoping BMW will make this happen... soon!
same thing here.. onm y new 04 Z4 i bought the sirrius radio and i was told it would be ready in a month... (i bought car 2 months ago) so about 3 weeks ago i call BMW dealer and they told me that BMW is still testing the radio and trying to get it integrated into the car..... i am fortunate enough not to have the iDrive system but i am very dissapointed that i was told one thing and now am being told to wait... i cannot wait till it is ready cuz we all know that radio now-a-days sux
I just bought a 2004 745li and the week after i brought it home bmw called me n told me not 2 drive it cause the computer was broke n the car keep malfunctioning and they keep having problem putting in the sattelite radio. SO they ordered me a brand new 2005 745li strait from germany and there building the satellite radio into the car rite then n there.

Gotta laugh! Check and see what BMW is going to charge you for the switch... they bought back my '02 745Li lemon, pre-paid lease, and I've just discovered that this buy back is costing me $25,000 - tacked on at the end of the lease as the "buy out". BEWARE!!!!! (Starting litigation...)
"Sirrus Radio" is already working in my Ford Excursion, I didn't have any problem. But the last thing I ould do is try to fix a 745Li, way too many problems, get an M3 or M5. Atleast they barely have problems(as I know of).
Sirrus works in all the newer models...they MUST have a factory inserted wire that costs $75....if your vehicle doens't have this installed...then you can't have Sirrus...unless it is OEM.....I'm not sure about OEM reliablity...I wouldn't trust it.
