I own a 2001 740i, with about 240,800klm and lately every so often i get a "service engine soon" light. I pulled the code and it tells me its "MIXTURE CONTROL, OFF IDLE CYL #1-4" Can anyone tell me what I should be looking to repair. Engine runs fine otherwise.
Hi there Thank you for getting back to me. I have since done a little more research and came to the conclusion that it was the MAF sensor , which i replace and it has solved the problem. I was hopeing I was wrong because the unit cost me $600 and i put it in myself, not a real hard DIY task but none the less. Thanks again.
