I HAVE A 1998 BMW 740IL. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WHEN I PULL THE CODES UP ON THE CAR, THE CODE: #1475 COMES UP. DOES ANY ONE HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR OR WHAT THE CODE MEANS?
1475 is not a recognized P-code for the 98 740iL... i suggest u clear it and drive again... might just have been a phantom code( a glitch)... :-)
* On a 1999 740iL, however, a P1475 code is defined as: LEAKAGE DIAGNOSTIC PUMP REED SWITCH DID NOT CLOSE" (if your car is manufactured 06/98 and onwards, then it is considered 1999)
