SEAFOAM - to de-carbon engine, etc.

i joined a forum like this to restore a 78 yamaha 750 triple. and they made a huge deal about SEAFOAM motor treatment Sea Foam--products as a way to decarbon old engines.

it did make a considerable difference on my moto without any bad side effects i could notice. i tried it on a 78 dodge ramcharger i got a few months later. maybe some benefit but no bad side effects.

they were both old carbed motors. WILL SEAFOAM BE GOOD FOR my fuel injected m30 motor????

It did nothing but make my 318 run smoother. which of course is a 4 cylinder from a few years after your 6, but im sure it wont do any harm.

I did notice more wear on my vacuum lines after the foam, which might have been me just realizing they were bad, but i guess look out for that.

No issues on my M30 I used it on my 635CSi smoothed the idle a bit and lowered the emissions(was recommended by my smog guy) worked great!

i cant find pcv or brake vac line just yet. somewhere i saw that vac hose off of fuel pressure regulator was ok. can anyone adviseor post pic of best vac hose options to put 1/3 of seafoam can into

The hose for the Fuel Pressure Regulator is fine make sure there is no valve in the line.

will this black vac hose coming off what i think is fuel press regulator work for seafoam ????

Yep! i ran 1 can of seafoam threw mine the refilled that can with water and ran that through do that and you'll be good! btw we'll need pictures of this beast

Q: doesn't your exhaust smoke like crazy when u do that???? :-o

yep! it really depends on the car.... my 635 smoked some but my buddy's rx7 looked like it was on fire......
