Removing Upper Oil Pan

Bentley states that you have to remove the upper oil pan through the rear after lifting the engine, but I don't see how this is possible by looking at the bottom of my car.

Anyone have experience in removing the upper oil pan? Thanks.

you didn't state what car is it.
anyway, if it's a e65, the only one i know how.
you have to support the engine from the top, take the 2 bolt out of the engine mount from the top.
then drop down the whole subframe, you don't have to take it out, just take out all 6 bolts holding it, and then let it hang with the suspension arms still intact.
once you done that. u can remove the lower oil pan, u should see bolts inside. after this it's pretty straight forward.
lower the subframe is to get u enough room to feed the oil pan out.
