Plz Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - BMW Forum

ok i just took the bmw out to the store and we come back and it cranks over but nothing happens.....next thing i notice is...on the dash it says (owners manulal) (check control) and i looked it up in the owners manual and all it says is(defect in the electrical system)....the interior lights dont come on anymore when u open a door....i checked fuses and they seem to b good...can anyone help me with this plz i will b up all night searching for an answere....i just bought this car today and its already having major problems...i am starting to doubt BMW...so any input would b great........

Could be alot of things, 1st do you have a spark at the plug, pull one and test, is it wet or dry????

ok and its electronic system not electrical....i dont understand why this is happening it has started up every time and then all of a sudden it does this shit.....i heard there was a recal on the battery cables is this true?

Model E38 or E32 as both were around in 1994.

um im not sure

im a new bmw owner how do i tell my car is a 94 740i auto with 4.0 v8 its a 4 door..

well if i cant get this thing fixed then im gonna sell it....i dont kno anything about bmw and i know shops charge a ton.....so anyone can make me an offer... like i said its a 94 7401 4.0 v8 paint is fair interior is trash but everything else works good......I REALLY WANNA FIX IT SO PLEASE I NEED YOUR INPUT>>>>>

Ok, You are going to have to take a spark plug out and see if it has a spark or not, 1st check all your fuses.

ok spark is good...tested it by sticken my finger on the end of the coil and turning it over....bmw coils pack a punch lol so what do u recommend on how to check if i am getting fuel? and once again my dash says .....(check control)....... (owners manual) so i checked it in the owners manual and it says..... (default in the eletronic system) and my interior lights do not come on anymore ....thanks for all the help ill check back in 30 min to c if i have any replys

ok guys i un hooked the fuel line to the fuel rail and i get fuel my interior lights was just a switch lol and the check control is not on anymore......but how do i tell if the fuel is getting threw the injectors...also the valve covers r leaking oil into the spark plug holes can that cause my bmw not to run? or to run very crappy?
