My PDC has packed up. The rear is ok but the front has gone AWOL. Any ideas?

Sorry, I should've made it clearer. It's an 1994, one of the very last E32s, 6 pot, 3 litre. Very tidy and tinworm free, even under the sill covers, so i'm a happy chappie.

check the wiring. most likely a bad sensor.

If you look at the front and rear bumper closely, you will see that those sensors are all on the separate panels (three in the front bumper, three in the rear bumper). Those panels are easy to removed and replaced. And they don't cost much (less than $20.00 a piece). After remove the panel, you can exam and reattach the sensors if they are loose. For the missing one, you have to buy from the dealer and they may be expensive. You have the option of replacing the panel with the one without the sensor holes if you decide to forgo the PDC.
