I bought my BMW with 75000 miles on it in 2001. It now has 116500 on it and I do not know if the oxygen sensor has ever been changed. The car runs fine. I get 20-21 miles per/gal on rural roads. Is this something I should replace or wait for a problem to arise? Drummer
Most of us would change them at about 60,00 miles. I did my 1988 750 after receiving a O2 prompt (did both sides). I buy from oxygensensors.com, they are OEM style and are made by Walker with 100,000 mile warranty.
I checked the place you suggested for the oxygen sensor. I guess you were only kidding about the 100,000 miles. I like to drive my BMW, but a 100,000 in 90 days would be a bit much. Bill
