It is a real shame that they removed teh dipstick. I don't really know what they gain from this. I think the transmission should still have a dipstick. As far as teh engine, what I always do is just drain it for a good while and then fill it with the amount listed in the manual. You can use the oil level indicator in the dash to know (kind of) your oil level status.

Yeah after thinking about it I realized I could drain the oil pan and filter and then just pour in however much oil is supposed to go in there. I dpn't know what to do about the trans though...
