So I was at the Life Quality BMW dealership just now...picking my e36 up from the repair shop and as I was paying my bill I saw a spanking new X5 pull up. But it wasn't like the other X5 that everyone drives round here. It was puffier on the sides at the fender and wheel wells (it looked like a hybrid of the current X5 and a toyota Land Cruiser).

No....The X5 I seen was puffier around the wheel well fenders and the back was slightly wider...cause the trunk lid and bumper was different....in all it was bigger and squarer than this one here.
Actually I've seen it again in the BMW 2005 Wheel catalogue. I will scan and post the picture soon...

so this means its a 2006 X5 not a 2005
