New newbie to this forum with an E31...

Just stumbled on this forum. Doesn't seem too active in this section but thought I'd post up and introduce myself anyway. I'm Shawn in the San Francisco bay area. Was mostly into sportbikes (still am) until I found an 8-series, which I've always liked (along with the '90s Lotus Esprits).

Will be dropping the car and swapping in 18" wheels soon...

Very, very close...I live in Los Altos Hills off the Page Mill or El Monte exits on the 280.

I normally enter the 280 from El Monte going south to Los Gatos so I'm not on Page Mill a lot unless I'm heading to/ from SF. We should meet for coffee or lunch sometime. I'd love to check out your car...looks clean!

I've had it almost a year now...my first BMW! Just moved to NorCal from L.A. about 2 years ago so I don't have many auto industry contacts here. Maybe you can also point me in the right direction for some work on the car (maintenance, dropping it, stereo, etc.).

I'll get the numbers of the good stereo shops. I do all my own work so I dont have any personal expereance with the repair shops but Independent BMW On Alma by University is pretty good.... Dropping you say I just bought suspention to lower the Seven what does the 8 need?

I already have the springs...just need labour to get it dropped.

I used have an 85' Lotus Esprit, tight little car. I never got to drive the one with the V-8. E31's are fun cars.

I like the early '90s Esprits...4 cyl TT.

That'll be my next car.

I like cars/ motorbikes that you don't see too often.
