Hello everyone, I've been lurking for about a week now and finally got a minute to introduce myself and my new to me car. I've been a Mercedes guy for about 10 years, mostly older stuff like a 1986 2.3-16V for those of you that know what those are, a few W124 E-class models, a 95 E300 diesel, etc. I've always admired the BMW 'look' but never pulled the trigger before now.
I picked up this 2001 740iL sport last week here in socal and I don't think I'm ever going back to Mercedes! I love this thing, probably because it is more car than I've ever owned before but it is very impressive. In the first week I had a bad seal on a radiator cap, leaky/broken expansion tank so I replaced those along with both upper and lower rad hoses along with a new thermostat so I have some piece of mind going into the summer months.
